Olympus Solid Rocket Motor
An O-class KNSB Solid Rocket Motor

The Olympus Solid Rocket Motor was designed during the 2022 LASC Cooperation Program. It has a 5.5" architecture, carries 21 kilograms of 65/35 KNSB propellant and it has a variable BATES segment core diameter. The motor was originally intended to thrust the cooperation's rocket and carry a 5 kg CubeSat to 5 km of apogee.
Hot-fire Test
The Olympus hot-fire test took place at Ilha do Fundão, Rio de Janeiro, 🇧🇷, inside UFRJ's campus. A hot-fire test stand was designed and manufactured by Minerva Rockets. The test was performed on the 2nd of July, 2022 at 3:30 PM. As of July 2, 2022, it was the largest experimental rocket motor of any kind ever built in Latin America.
